Get Your Paws on the Town
Paws on the Town is a new Dakin dine-around event for animal lovers to show their support for both local restaurants and local companion animals. Throughout the month of June, you can visit participating restaurants for a sit-down or take-out meal, snap a selfie of yourself either inside or outside the restaurant, and you could win $20-$50 in gift cards. Each selfie you submit counts as an entry for the drawing for the gift cards.
On Tuesday, June 22, participating restaurants will be donating 15-20% of their proceeds that day (for both sit-down and take-out meals) to help support animals and programs at Dakin. Below is a listing of those restaurants.
Premier Location (Donating 20% on June 22):
- Ice Cream Alley - 221 Main Street, Greenfield (dog-friendly, vegetarian, vegan)

“The restaurant industry was hit very hard during the pandemic,” said Dakin’s Director of Marketing & Development Stacey Price. “We wanted to partner with them to help drive a large base of animal-friendly people to their establishments not only on June 22, but throughout June. We’re encouraging people to dine local to support the restaurants that share our home in western Massachusetts, while also helping pets and the people who love them. This is a chance for us to try to give back to a community that has continuously been there for pets and Dakin.”
There is still time for restaurants to participate in this exciting event. If interested, please contact Kaitlyn Holloway, Development & Events Coordinator, at kholloway@dakinhumane.org or 413-781-4000 x118.
