What is a Donor-Advised Fund?

A donor-advised fund (DAF) is a type of giving program that provides you with the flexibility to support the animals through Dakin Humane Society while enjoying some favorable tax benefits. It’s a great way to simplify your charitable giving while improving the lives of animals in need and the people who care about them.

How Does a DAF Work?

Simply recommend a gift to Dakin Humane Society through your donor-advised fund using DAF Direct. You’ll be asked to pick the organization to which you’d like to contribute and enter the amount. When you’re finished, click “Next” to complete your recommendation.

If you have a donor-advised fund that does not participate in DAF Direct, just ask your financial advisor to designate a gift to Dakin Humane Society. And please let us know when you do, so we can say thank you!
