Now Hiring: Animal Resource Counselors
Do you have a passion for helping people in need, as well as animals? Do you dream about becoming part of a team that makes a difference in the lives of pet families in the community as well as homeless animals? Do you want to work in an environment that is welcoming, friendly, supportive, and has no shortage of humor? If this sounds like you then Dakin Humane Society wants to know!
We need a full-time Animal Resource Counselor to join our team and deliver our mission. As the only non-profit, full-service animal welfare organization serving our region, we need to help a lot of people (and their animals). You can help us do it.
If you are an energetic go-getter who has a passion for helping people, who also solves problems, nails the details and loves a challenge, we want to hear from you.
You should be comfortable delivering customer service in a fast-paced environment. You'll be the first point of contact for pet families in need and answering a variety of requests through email, on the phone, and in person. You will spend part of your day doing hands-on animal care and part of the day in a call center environment.
You must know your way around a computer, including your ability to adapt quickly to ever-evolving technology as we are continually looking for new ways to help deliver our mission.
Also, we need to be sure you can be available both weekend days. What's the pay? $16.00 an hour to start. Excellent benefits including extremely generous PTO for full-time employees (like 30 days in your second year of full-time employment, 35 days in your third year)!
