A Beautiful Sunday Event Raises $34,000 for Animals

On Sunday, October 5th, Dakin held its 10th annual Barks & Brews fundraiser at Fort Hill Brewery. The unseasonable warm weather set the stage for a beautiful afternoon filled with dogs in costume, playful doggy antics, and great company. Guests and their furry companions joined in the fun, cheering on the always popular hot dog eating contest and cheerfully marching in the costume parade.

The costume contest brought everyone's creativity, with winners including KitKat Sammy as "Crab" for Most Creative, Roxie as "German Beer" for Cutest, Fetty as "Skeleton" for Spookiest, and Bubba and Boone as "Skooby and the Mystery Machine" for Best Pair.
