A Medical Milestone - 300th Patient Seen at Clinic PLUS
Since its opening in 2020, Clinic PLUS at Dakin is helping families in our community who are unable to go to a full-service animal hospital for non-urgent medical issues. Clinic PLUS also has accessible wellness options for healthy pets that include exams, vaccinations, preventative care, nail trims, and microchips.
Recently, Peanut’s family brought him to Clinic PLUS to have his leg evaluated. Peanut was born with a leg deformity that has started to give him a bit of trouble now that he’s older. When his people noticed him develop a limp, they made an appointment at Clinic PLUS. Peanut also happened to be the 300th patient seen at Clinic PLUS!
The ongoing pandemic has made it very difficult for families to access veterinary care for their pets. While veterinary practices work tirelessly to catch up with a backlog of appointments while maintaining health and safety protocols, for the staff and pets, clients are experiencing significant delays from routine appointments to more pressing medical concerns.
While Dakin’s Clinic PLUS is not a full-service veterinary clinic with the ability to handle emergencies or serious illnesses, we are proud to offer a community resource that treats small medical issues to prevent them from becoming larger. Being there for Peanut and his family means a lot to us.
