Director of Development & Marketing

Stacey R. Price joined the Dakin team in 2016 as the Director of Development and Marketing.  She comes to Dakin with over 8 years of experience in Animal Welfare and has held various roles such as Animal Welfare Director, Director of Development, and Executive Director at shelters including Kitsap Humane Society, Ellen M. Gifford Sheltering Home, and Ulster County SPCA. Additionally, she served as the Capital Campaign Manager for the EcoTarium, Worcester, MA. She currently oversees the organization’s fundraising, communication, and marketing efforts.

Stacey is a lifelong animal and nature lover and is a member of the Association of Animal Welfare Administrators (AAWA). She received a “Who’s Who 40 Under 40” award in 2010 from Kitsap County, WA, and is a 2002 MBA grad from Clarkson University, Potsdam, NY. Stacey received CAWA (Certified Animal Welfare Administrator) credentials in 2023, the highest accreditation in the animal welfare field demonstrating the competencies and experience required to deliver excellence in operations, management, best practices, and ethics. A resident of Worcester, MA, Stacey shares her home with her partner Shane, their three children, two cats, and two dogs.
