New Foster Orientation
May 1, 2019
Get Involved: Volunteer!
This is an introductory meeting for people interested in becoming Fosters. Our Foster program saves lives and helps us get animals out of the potentially stressful shelter environment and into homes, allowing us to then help even more animals in need. Fosters can be as short term as a week or up to a few months, and may or may not have medical needs as well - it all depends on each individual situation.
If you are willing to open your heart & home - please sign up to attend. The session should last about an hour, and is at our 171 Union Street location in Springfield."
A few more things you need to know:
- We want to know you're coming, so you need to register in advance to attend the Welcome Session. Click here to register.
- All sessions begin promptly, so be sure to arrive in time, as latecomers may not be able to access the building!
- We know people of all ages love animals, but Dakin volunteers must be at least 16 years old.
Thank you for your interest in helping the animals of Dakin. We look forward to working with you!
