Introduction to Scent Work

Jan 12, 2019

Have you wondered if your dog would like a playful version of what Search and Rescue dogs do for real? Wondered just what it’s all about? Dogs are aware of a world beyond our senses—a world they can smell. Think of airport sniffer dogs, search and rescue dogs, hunting dogs—we couldn’t do what they do because we don’t have the scent receptors they have!

Utilizing the dog’s strongest sense, their sense of smell, owners learn to read the subtleties of their dog’s body language communication while exploring the world of scent as their dog lives it. Dogs tend to adore this sport and it’s a great way to positively engage and also tire them (especially helpful during inclement weather)!
