Now Hiring: Part Time Vaccine Clinic Veterinarian
Dakin Humane Society is seeking a Veterinarian for the organization’s weekly Community Vaccine Clinics. These clinics which help animals living under financial constraints access veterinary care to stay healthy, such as rabies and parvo vaccinations. The clinics operate every Saturday morning and care for up to 40 animals per 3 to 4-hour shift. We are seeking either a weekly or every other week commitment. Massachusetts Veterinary License required.

Now Hiring: Full or Part-Time Certified Veterinary Technician
Dakin is looking for an animal superhero to join the organization’s Adoption Center Veterinary Technician team. Our veterinary technicians ensure care is being performed to the highest standards while lending their voice to help shape the organization's future. We are looking for a creative individual who is passionate about providing quality, advanced veterinary care for our patients while sharing information and collaborating with our community and each other, and working together as a cohesive team. Interested individuals must be able to work independently in a fast paced environment.
This position requires CVT (Certified Veterinary Technician) with 5 years experience working in clinic, ER, or similar setting with surgical experience OR non-CVT vet tech with at least 8 years of clinic/surgical/direct patient care experience. Must have strong decision making skills regarding triage and ER care. Must be able to follow written protocols and make appropriate medical decisions. Must be proficient in anesthesia and surgery, drug calculations, x-rays, administering medication, and have experience with in-house analyzers. Must be able to train foster volunteers on basic supportive medical care.
Competitive hourly rate commensurate with experience and depending on CVT status. This position’s schedule includes 1 weekend day and you must be able to work until 5:30pm most days. Full and part time opportunities are available. Our full-time employees receive great benefits including extremely generous PTO (like 37 days in your second year of full-time employment, 42 days in your third year)!
