Dakin Foster Transforms Preschool into Vet Center

Marna, a longtime Dakin foster caregiver, recently brought her volunteer work to her classroom.

While fostering mice Noodle and Linguini, she delighted her preschool class by bringing them in for a visit.

Mice are very busy creatures and a pleasure to watch as they build cozy dens, eat snacks, and take a spin on their exercise wheel.

Before long, the classroom transformed into a buzzing veterinary center, with Marna’s students performing exams, giving vaccines, and gently handling their stuffed animal patients.

Marna thought outside the box and gave her students the opportunity to learn about humane animal care, while also giving her foster mice a very exciting day!
