What is Moms Fixed Free?

If your cat or dog has had a litter, Dakin can help.

Once the kittens or puppies are eight weeks old, Dakin will provide spay surgery and vaccines for rabies and distemper for mom and return her to you, free of charge.

To qualify for the Moms Fixed Free program, all kittens/puppies from the litter must be brought to Dakin. The kittens/puppies will receive medical care and Dakin will find them homes through our adoption program. For more information about the Moms Fixed Free program, email us at Springfield@dakinhumane.org.

Stryker and Mileena

are two siblings from a litter of five. The other three kittens were in great shape and growing strong. Stryker and Mileena were severely underweight, malnourished, and struggling with dehydration.

The Moms Fixed Free program allowed Dakin to provide free spay surgery for Mom and return her to her loving family. Stryker, Mileena, and their siblings got access to resources through our adoption program including the urgent medical care that gave them a second chance.
